Four pillars carrying the work forward, in Kisumu and beyond.

Since 2013 EMAP has kept over 5,000 youth engaged in visual art, traditional African music, dance, guitar and vocals, poetry, theatre, fashion, photography, and filmmaking. Sessions run at the Young Generation Centre in the heart of the Manyatta slum in Kisumu. In 2023 we expanded to Uganda through Love to Love and to Tanzania through Simba's Footprints.

What EMAP sets out to do

Provide a safe space for youth to share stories through film and photography
Give youth a platform to express themselves through music and art, and build a network
Preserve African culture by teaching youth traditional music
